Crape Ginger and the Black Butterfly

I was in the garden when this flower Crape Ginger (Costus speciosus (J. Konig) Sm.), which is also called Jom Lakhuti in Assamese, attracted my eyes. These flowers seem to attract a particular species of Black Butterfly. The Butterfly at first checks the nectar while in air and as soon as it finds the nectar, it pulls out its antenna and places it using a beautiful technique into the flower without disturbing the flower. Then slowly it enters the flowers. I was very lucky to witness it through my own eyes. I am sharing some pictures that I was able to capture from those moments.
